Lights, Architecture, Action?

The last of the five light fixtures arrived today and it is beautiful!
I received a call with a quote for the decorative ceiling tiles-$17 per tile. The ceiling cost would be around $400 so we have decided to try something else. We are thinking about doing something with decorative moldings on the ceiling. I have several ideas we just need to decide which one is the most feasible.
We discussed the beadboard for the walls and at this point (notice that I don’t make any kind of declarative statements anymore-I have learned to make tentative statements when remodeling) we have decided to go with wainscoting.

Hubby ordered the windows today. No Palladian.

Mom was able to send us the history on the architectural pieces (columns and stained glass). It is very interesting. The pieces were salvaged from a notable historic home in Georgia. Our walls might not talk but our architectural pieces sure do!

Many people helped with the construction of the bathroom as well as moral support when things were moving rather slowly. I would like to personally thank my wonderful husband who agreed to this madness in the first place and worked so very hard to give me an amazing bathroom. I would also like to thank Greg my diligent and patient contractor. As for plumbing, what can I say? St. Pauly is the best! Not only did he work hard on the plumbing but also on construction and woodworking! This is why he was made the ‘Assistant Project Manager!’ In addition, I would like to thank Richard, MY electrician, for doing a remarkable job installing all of the electrical stuff! To the wives of these men, Toni, Kirby, and Sonya I thank you for giving up so much of your personal time with your husbands so that they could help with this project. Thank you to Miles and Chris who also helped Pauly with plumbing jobs. Mr. Jim, who worked hard and did an incredible job on the drywall-thank you! Thank you to Antiques in Old Towne (http://antiquesinoldtown.blogspot.com)and 221 Antiques & Coffee where we purchased furnishings and architectural pieces to enhance the bathroom project. I want to personally thank my moral support team during this escapade, Lisa, Kirby, Kathy, Larry, Mom, Dad, Ann, Joan, Christine, Anita, Barbara, Sherin, Paula, Rowann and Hugh, Sue, Millie, Janeen, Grandma, Jeannette, Debra, Rachell, and all of the others that have followed the diaries over the past 10 months-Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I also want to thank God for this very special group of people and the opportunity to have completed this addition-without Him nothing is possible.
